The Barrio Logan Food Hub Experience
Come hungry, leave inspired.
The annual Burgers and Beer festival is curated exclusively by food writers of the San Diego Readers Magazine. An event that assembles the very best burger vendors to allow the public to choose whom they deem worthy of the crown for being the best there is.
For its 5th annual event, they summoned Bonehead Burger Company.
When I went looking for them there was something familiar about this place. That’s when I found out that the future of dining hadn’t started with the Aztec Food Hub, it had started here, in the barrio.
In a world where food service and the customer experience is deteriorating, due in large part to a virus that has decimated an entire industry and has yet to recover, the hub arrived ahead of its time.
Accounting for a consumer who has grown numb and views the brief interaction with a merchant as a means to an end of their transaction, the hub fully capitalizes on that relationship. Eliminating a huge component of a businesses overhead in the process. The only consumers to be at a loss, are those who seek the human interaction of their dining experience, and unfortunately, at this juncture are becoming old fashioned.
