The annual Burgers and Beer festival is curated exclusively by food writers of the San Diego Readers Magazine. An event that assembles the very best burger vendors to allow the public to choose whom they deem worthy of the crown for being the best there is.

For its 5th annual event, they summoned RomBomb.

A catering service that was 10 years in the making. RomBomb began as a way to feed thousands of students and locals within the City Heights community. The source of inspiration came to founder Romin, right out of college, who felt his purpose in life was to establish a youth ministry.

He gained exposure in 2019 with Geroge Motz’s Books and Alvin Cailan’s “The Burger Show’’ on YouTube. But things didn’t start to sizzle until he tried the Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger. After falling in love with it, he decided to cook an idea of his own.

Debuting his creation at a New Years Party, he found the affirmation he needed to pursue his own business.

Enter: Covid

Things drew to a halt, but in the summer of 2020, during a spiritual walk, Romin felt the universe urging him to take a leap of faith.

So he jumped.
