Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) Trailer 1

As Marvel’s marketing campaign begins to ramp up for the imminent arrival of Thor: Love and Thunder on July 8 of this year, we have received the first official trailer. Finally revealing Christian Bale’s Gorr “The God Butcher.”

It’s quite stunning, see for yourself.

Christian Bale makes his triumphant return to the superhero genre, this time in Marvel’s sandbox. I am very much intrigued what lured an actor of his caliber to this project, and thus far my eyes are not disappointed of what they see. While it is a far departure from how he is portrayed in the comics, it is not the first time Marvel takes liberties.

Sadly, I don’t think I will be at the cineplex to enjoy this film. I simply don’t enjoy the direction Taika Waititi has taken with Thor. I might change my mind after I get a grasp of the reception of the film, but for now, as much as Bale has peaked my interest I think I will wait for its home release.
